It brings scattered food finds together as Recipes, To try, and Ideas; helps everyone decide what to cook; carries that choice into shopping and cook mode; and learns from what the household saves, favourites, and cooks so useful options from the cookbook and Discover surface sooner next time.

Recipes are complete recipes you have chosen to keep in the household cookbook. To try holds complete recipes saved to try later; recording a cook moves them into Recipes. Ideas keep useful photos, videos, links, and notes when there is not yet enough structure for a recipe. You can cook directly from an Idea’s source or turn it into a recipe when you are ready.

Scullery gives the household one shared place to collect options and make the next choice explicit. It can bring recipes forward using household tastes, favourites, and cook history, while household yeses narrow the conversation. Scullery never chooses the meal automatically.

Yes. Discover brings together source-linked recipe references from around the web. You can compare ingredients and tags, open the original publisher, or save a private copy to your kitchen.

Scullery can work with TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube sources, but a trustworthy recipe draft depends on what the post makes available. When a source is worth keeping but does not provide enough reliable recipe structure, Scullery preserves it as an Idea with its source context instead of inventing ingredients or steps.

Yes. Scullery can create drafts from websites, pasted text, screenshots, and photographs with readable recipe evidence, such as cookbook pages, recipe cards, and cooking notes. When a photograph shows a finished dish instead, Scullery treats it as an idea and can propose a practical, editable recipe. It separates visible details from its assumptions, and every result remains yours to review.

Some recipe websites prevent Scullery from reading the recipe directly. If that happens, your link stays in place. Open the original page and paste the ingredients and steps, or add a clear screenshot or photo. Scullery never asks for a publisher password or uses your private account session.

Discover pages show source-linked recipe facts, never the cooking method, and provide a clear link to the original recipe. Scullery fetches the method only when you choose to save a private copy to your kitchen. Cook mode is a focused recipe view for kitchen use. It keeps the chosen recipe readable while your hands are busy and ties the cooking moment back to your recipes and shopping list.

Scullery shopping lists are built from recipe ingredients and your household’s edits. Merged rows can keep their underlying source rows behind the scenes, so a list item stays traceable back to the recipes that need it.

No. Scullery focuses on recipe capture, household decisions, cook mode, and shopping-list preparation. Grocery-provider checkout and nutrition planning are not part of Scullery today.

Yes. Scullery is in open beta, so you do not need an invite. Anyone can create an account with Google or with an email address and password, and Scullery is free to use. We ask you to verify your email before you start. Being in beta means you might meet the odd rough edge while we keep adding polish.

There is no fixed daily cap on how many recipes you can save or import. Features that call our AI provider, such as import parsing, screenshot reading, and the Improve tools, run inside per-account and per-household usage windows so costs and quality stay under control during beta. If you reach one of these windows, you may see a short wait, and for social imports Scullery can keep what it captured as a draft you finish by hand. Either way your recipe still saves. These limits are tuned for normal household use, so most people will not notice them.
