Preference helps narrow the field. It does not make the decision for you.
Often the hard part is not cooking but agreeing what sounds good. In Scullery, household members can add recipes to one shortlist and leave clear preference signals on the candidates.
Those signals make the conversation smaller; they do not declare a winner. Someone explicitly selects the next recipe. From there, the household can cook it now or keep it among selected meals for later.
Planning is there when it helps, but it is not a gate between choosing a recipe and cooking it.
