Cook with a clear head

Cook mode puts the current step and its quantities in focus, with batch scaling, measurement choices, and inline ingredient amounts.

The Scullery method4.1 Cook

At the stove, the interface should reduce looking back and forth.

When you press Cook, Scullery turns the recipe into a focused path through the meal. The current step stays prominent, and linked ingredient amounts appear beside the instruction that uses them.

Choose a 1×, 2×, or 4× batch and the quantities scale with it. Switch between US and Metric measurements when that makes the recipe easier to follow. The aim is simple: less looking back to the ingredient list while something is already on the heat.

When the meal is done, mark it cooked. The recipe returns to the cookbook with the date and count updated, ready to inform the next choice.
